1985: WHOOPEE and WHIZZER AND CHIPS MERGE (IPC)

The beginning of the 1985-86 financial year was not a good time for IPC's weeklies.  Not only did TIGER expire but, the very same week, WHOOPEE merged with WHIZZER AND CHIPS.

I was never much of a humour comic fan and I certainly never read either of these weeklies (I think I dabbled with a few issues of NUTTY in the early eighties but that was strictly for Bananaman) so there's not much more I can add to this in-house announcement.
