1984: DOCTOR WHO SPECIALS COVER GALLERY - PART EIGHT (Marvel UK)

MARVEL UK's DOCTOR WHO WINTER SPECIAL 1984 was an all-archive (no strips) affair with detailed recaps of one adventure from each era of the Time Lord.

Typically of the era, these accounts were thick on plot and thin on the sorts of behind-the-scenes detail (a single page "Fact File" for each story) we later came to expect from the Andrew Pixley era (and the fanzine IN-VISION) but - without repeats or VHS releases - these were the only way (other than the Target paperbacks) of looking back at the show's on-screen history that Brits could ever reasonably expect to see.

Interspaced between these were a new interview with Director Peter Moffatt and assorted photo pin-ups from stories past.
