Typically of the era, these accounts were thick on plot and thin on the sorts of behind-the-scenes detail (a single page "Fact File" for each story) we later came to expect from the Andrew Pixley era (and the fanzine IN-VISION) but - without repeats or VHS releases - these were the only way (other than the Target paperbacks) of looking back at the show's on-screen history that Brits could ever reasonably expect to see.
Interspaced between these were a new interview with Director Peter Moffatt and assorted photo pin-ups from stories past.
