1993: BEAUTY AND THE BEAST COMIC BOOK HOUSE AD (Innovation)

From March 1993: An Innovation Comics house ad hailing the launch of their impressive (but ultimately short-lived... the company went bust at the end of the year, sinking several pretty good media tie-ins) BEAUTY AND THE BEAST monthly comic book, based on the defunct CBS drama (shown erratically by ITV in the UK) with a strong cult (and mostly female) following.

    1. Thanks for the heads up. This looks like a port across of the US edition. I have the American release of the first season (only six episodes) and can confirm the extras are well worth seeing. Hopefully the same is true for the whole run.

The £100 price tag means I won't be buying a set until the price is substantially reduced. I could buy 100 things to post on STARLOGGED for the same outlay. Ha.

    1. And QUANTUM LEAP of course. Another example of using a media property to reach out to audiences who wouldn't usually think about buying comic books (to be blunt: women) in the early 1990s.
