From 1999: Another of the square-bound bumper editions of the US magazine CINESCAPE INSIDER... and yet more coverage of STAR WARS: THE PHANTOM MENACE.

1994: CINESCAPE PREVIEW ISSUE

From August 1994: the special (free!) preview edition of CINESCAPE MAGAZINE, published just ahead of the official launch, that was bagged with copies of HERO ILLUSTRATED and a computer games mag (the catchily titled ELECTRONIC GAMING MONTHLY). My copy came with the former... not the latter.

TREK prominently features, BOND is always back and we DID see two AVP flicks, one considerably better than the other but neither really much cop. 

The regular mag clocked up 76 regular issues through to the Winter of 2004. It also spun off assorted one shots under generic brands like CINESCAPE PRESENTS (TV MANIA, SEQUEL MANIA, BUFFY/ ANGEL OFFICIAL YEARBOOK, THE X-FILES, MOVIE ALIENS, THE X-FILES AND CONSPIRACY TELEVISION), CINESCAPE INSIDER (PHANTOM MENACE, STAR WARS), CINESCAPE COLLECTORS EDITION (THE X-FILES YEARBOOK) or the CINESCAPE 1995 SCIENCE FICTION TELEVISION YEARBOOK that sometimes appeared as part of the usual numerical run and sometimes appeared as specials. 

1996: CINESCAPE PRESENTS THE X-FILES AND CONSPIRACY TELEVISION ONE-SHOT MAGAZINE

From 1996: one of the periodic CINESCAPE MAGAZINE spin-offs, this time dedicated to (surprise surprise) all things X-FILES and a smattering of the other aliens/ supernatural/ conspiracy shows that were doing the rounds in the wake of the success of Mulder and Scully. And, of course, mixing up the contents was a handy way of dodging Fox's (the studio, not the bloke) lawyers who may otherwise have been able to slap an unauthorised product pulping order on this unlicensed item. 

Unlike the regular Cinescape, these specials jettisoned the mag's regular features, carried a higher pave count and were squarebound with stiff card stock covers. 

1994: CINESCAPE MAGAZINE Issue 1

CINESCAPE was yet another in the mid-ninties boom in new SF film/ TV magazines.  

This is the first issue from October 1994.

I recall it had a long run but, presumably, succumbed to the general decline in magazine sales as the Internet rode into town.
