1980: MARVEL UK COMICS, FILM & FANTASY CONVENTION
Back in October 1980, Marvel UK organised and hosted the (deep breath) COMICS, FILM & FANTASY CONVENTION at London's Royal Horticultural New Hall.
Marvel plugged the event heavily in their titles, which (probably) ensured a younger-than-average crowd attended.
