1984: CYRIL in RETURN OF THE JEDI (Marvel UK)

Remember when the Christmas episodes of US TV shows would reach the UK, thanks to the huge gaps between broadcasts on either side of the Atlantic, in the blistering hot (if we were lucky) days of summer?

Well, today's instalment of CYRIL recreates that nostalgic out-of-time vibe.  This episode first appeared in the edition of Marvel UK's RETURN OF THE JEDI weekly (issue 80, 29 December 1984) that would have been on sale over Christmas '84.

It's sweet because, ever since 1980, kids across the nation had indeed been hoping to find a Palitoy/ Kenner AT-AT Walker in their stocking.
