1992: CAPTAIN BRITAIN in COMIC COLLECTOR MAGAZINE
COMIC COLLECTOR issue 2 (April 1992) was - planned or not - a bit of a MARVEL UK special. Not only did it preview the launch of OVERKILL/ GENESIS 92 (see my previous post) but it also included this nice three-page Hero History on CAPTAIN BRITAIN by Phil Hall.
Although a lot of water has passed under Tower Bridge since 1992, I reckon this is a still a great little primer for Britain's best.

I found out recently that Captain Britain is no longer Brian Braddock - the new CB is a Muslim woman doctor. How times change !
ReplyDeleteWow! I had no idea. I must confess I don't really keep up with the latest developments in the Marvel U because the number of books - and all the variations and relaunches - is quite bewildering. It's no wonder that publishers struggle to lure in new readers. I look at the shelves each week and wouldn't know where to start.
DeleteThat said, I'm rather enjoying the new BATTLESTAR GALACTICA comic based on the original 1978-79 series.
