STAR TREK and STAR WARS SPECIAL EDITIONS from Titan have landed in WHS.
The former is just a compilation of recent STAR TREK BEYOND coverage from the regular mag... a less than essential purchase considering both of the issues it draws content from were still on sale in the same branch. The cover price is £9.99 but it scans at a more palatable £4.99.
The same content is also available in two hardbacks which - predictably - FP are stocking. That means Titan have managed to use the same articles/ page layouts in FOUR different publications all on sale simultaneously. Even VI weren't that bold!
the new issue of GEEKY MONKEY comes with a free issue of BINGEBOX. A nice bit of in-house promotion there.
ReplyDeletegood to see M.A.S.K. return in its own comic this week.
The new BACK ISSUE has an article on a genuine curio - the comic adaptation of the micheal jackson sci-fi mish-mash CAPTAIN EO.
It was good to see DIRECT CURRENTS return as an on-counter giveaway. Very nostalgic.
ReplyDeleteit was inserted with the PREVIEWS catalogue in my FP.

They certainly got good mileage out of that trek special.
ReplyDeleteIt never appeared in my shops due partly I guess to the fact that it was published as a one-shot and not as an issue of the ongoing magazine series.
