From the end of 1991: The third issue of the UK STAR WARS FAN CLUB MAGAZINE (unofficial of course) celebrates the festive season (so ideal fodder for a mid-July post) with a cover that repurposed art originally created for a Luasfilm corporate Christmas card.
I have this one and several others as covered in your previous post on this mag.
ReplyDeletecongrats on passing your 200th post this year. Maybe slightly less significant than reaching 2000 overall posts but still worth noting.
As I predicted in an earlier post, SFX have released a new special on GHOSTBUSTERS.
ReplyDeletehowever on closer inspection, this is actually their previous GB special now re-printed with additional pages on the new movie.
Sneaky. I don't remember the previous one but presumably I have a copy somewhere.
ReplyDeleteOther nice bits this week were a new Gene Roddenberry biography (there's been several previous ones during the Trek Book Boom of the 1990s), the TWIN PEAKS FAQ book, the new issue of BACK ISSUE and a second compilation of 1990s MARVEL FIRSTS. And another TREK photocomic but I'll wait for the trade.
Import prices will spike as of next week in the UK.
the original version was the last numbered special produced solely by SFX before they merged with TOTAL FILM in co-creating bookazines.
ReplyDeletefor the record, it was no 68.
I did come across the TREK MOVIES bookazine, a very nice compilation form the regular trek mag.
why the rise in price ?
