1981: DOCTOR WHO SPECIALS COVER GALLERY - PART TWO (Marvel UK)

There was no DOCTOR WHO WINTER SPECIAL in late 1980 so readers of DOCTOR WHO MAGAZINE had to wait a whole year for the next spin-off special.

Reflecting the editorial shift (from comics to cheaper-to-produce text features) of the parent title, the second special put a lot more emphasis on background features (simplistic by today's standards but a revelation at the time) and allocated less pages to the comic strips.

Two reprinted strips did make an appearance however: the multi-Doctor Timeslip (by Skinn and Neary), originally published in issues 17 and 18, and the Doc-less back-up strip Business as Usual (by Alan Moore and David Lloyd), featuring the Autons and first published in issues 40-43 (very short chapters!).
